The Challenge

Andrew has spent 21 years building Big Mouth Digital, his digital marketing and web design agency. Like a lot of agency owners, he'd fallen into a familiar trap, clients always came first, and the development of his own business always came last.

"Running my own marketing agency has always meant clients are priority one, and the business development of my own business was always the last priority."

He first came to David for mentoring on how to target and grow the business. That's where he discovered David's accountability coaching, and the missing piece: someone to make sure the plans for his own business actually happened.

The Approach

Andrew and David set out his goals and where he wanted the business to be, then met regularly to keep him on track, turning good intentions into a plan with someone to answer to.

Crucially, that accountability also became a filter on every new idea and shiny distraction:

"David holds me to account, to make sure I'm working towards my goals and not away from them."

After a couple of years working closely together, it's a relationship built on honesty. As Andrew puts it, David "has always brought enthusiasm and a passion for my business," and every conversation "makes sure there's clarity on everything I do."

I've had an increase in business of over 30%, and that really is down to a clear strategy, and one that I am actually held accountable for.

The Outcome

Through the mentoring and accountability, Andrew built a clear growth strategy, and, just as importantly, followed it through. Over the last year, that's translated into an increase in business of more than 30%.

He's clear about why it worked: a defined strategy, and the accountability to actually stick to it.
