The Challenge

Louis has spent nearly eight years building Claymore Films, creating branded and commercial video for brands and businesses across the country. He first came across David at a workshop, and when the chance came to bring him on as an accountability coach, there was no hesitation.

His goal was greater sustainability in how he ran the business. He knew what needed doing, or felt he did, but kept hitting the same wall every business owner knows:

"Like any business person, I was making the excuse that there just weren't enough hours in the day. And to be honest, there aren't."

The Approach

What made the difference was having someone impartial in his corner, not a friend or family member close to the business, but an outside voice holding him to the goals he'd set.

"There's a tremendous amount of value in having somebody like David on board who is impartial. He isn't anchored to my everyday world."

Louis singles out David's communication and the way he invested in understanding the business: a relatable voice, a tremendous communicator, and someone who "fully invested himself in understanding my goals and my business", even when it meant the occasional tough conversation to keep things on track.

As a direct result of his motivation and accountability, I no longer leave money on the table, I'm bringing more money into the business.

The Outcome

Louis achieved the short-term goal he first came to David with, built a robust growth strategy, and stopped leaving money on the table. He's clear about how he frames it:

"It's an investment in myself, having him behind me."

As for the future? "I don't see that slowing down any time soon."
